Eye Cue, the duo from F.Y.R.O.M., win this year Barbara Dex Award. The Award is well known in the Eurovision world and it’s given to the worst dressed artist of the contest, since 1997.
Marija Ivanovska, the singer of Eye Cue started her performance with a pink cape and silver shorts, but in the middle she took off the cape and revealed her silver top, with a special pattern. Bojan Trajkovski, the guitarist was also wearing a shirt with a somehow interesting pattern too.
This is the second time in the short history of the award – compared to the ESC – that the balkan country won it. The first was in 2005.
The second place went to Australia and Jessica Mauboy. Belgium, Montenegro and Israel came third, fourth and fifth respectively.
What Is The Barbara Dex Award?
Barbara Dex was the representative of Belgium back in 1993. Her dress was self-designed, but it didn’t look so good. The first award was given in 1997 to Malta and since then it is given to the worst dressed contestant of the contest. The award was assigned by the House of Eurovision, from 1997 to 2016 and by another fansite songfestival.be from 2017.
