There are also three potential debuting countries, but probably they won’t do it this year. First of all, Kosovo wants to participate, but the public broadcaster isn’t an EBU member. The same situation is with Lichtenstein, as the only broadcaster of the country isn’t publicly owned, therefore is not an EBU member. Last but not least, Kazachstan. The country will debut in the Junior edition of the contest this year. It seems like there’s a possibility for 2019 debut. However, the EBU said, early this summer, that the invitation was solely by the reference group of the Junior edition.
