
Earlier today, Australia decided who’s gonna be its fifth representative in the Eurovision. For the first time, in its ESC history, the country organised a national final. “Australia Decides” was broadcasted live from Gold Coast, Australia and was hosted by Australian Commentators Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst. Ten acts tried to win but after an amazing show Kate Miller-Heidke won with her song “Zero Gravity”.
Zero Gravity
Zero Gravity is a pop-opera song talking about overcoming depression. The song is co-written by Kate Miller-Haidke herself and Keir Nuttall. At her appearance we see Kate wearing a long dress, that reminds us Elina’s dress from last year (Estonia), without, of course, the lights on it. On stage, we also see an amazing dancer, that flows behind Kate. Here is Kate’s appearance:
Australia In Eurovision 2018
Australia has a special invitation, by the EBU, since 2015, and therefore it is eligible to compete in the Eurovision. Till today, the country has never missed a final and in 2016 came close to win, finishing first in the jury voting, but second overall. Last year, Jessica Mauboy represented Australia with the song “We Got Love”. She finished 20th with 99 votes. Here you can remember her appearance:
