This year Belgium is represented by the young and talented Eliot. Elliot was born on 29th of December 2000 in Mons, Belgium. His full name is Eliot Vassamillet. He is just 18 years old and his Eurovision entry is his first step in the Music industry.
He came to the public’s attention last year when he competed in the 7th season of Belgium’s The Voice. Sadly, he didn’t make it to the final after being eliminated in the first live. After his participation in the reality, Pierre Dumoulin, an established composer, contacted the young artist. The result of this connection is Eliot’s entry in the Eurovision. “Wake Up” is composed by both artists. It is noteworthy that Pierre is also the composer of “City Lights”, Belgium’s 2017 entry which gave Blanche 4th place in the final of the contest.
Eliot was given his first guitar when he was just seven years old. He also had 2 years of studies in music theory.
Belgium competes in the second half of the first semifinal.
