This year, Ireland is represented by Sarah McTernan. Sarah was born on 11th of March 1994 in County Clare, Ireland. She has a young daughter and she plays the guitar, the piano and the tin whistle. In 2011 she graduated from High School and enrolled in a pre-nursing course.

After that, Sarah study music technology at Limerick Institute of Technology. She stayed there for several months. Then she took a break from her studies and work in a big fast fashion retailer. In 2014, she enrolled in the University of Limerick in order to study music and dance. Although she postponed her studies due to her participation in the fourth season of The Voice of Ireland. At the show, her blind audition performance made all four couches to turn and managed to reach the final. Her final performance finished third.

She is not new in the Eurovision. Last year, Sarah took part in the first national final of San Marino, 1in360, with her song “Eye of the Storm”. Her entry “22” this year is composed by Janieck van de Polder, Marcia Sondeijker and Roel Rats.

Ireland competes 2nd in the second semifinal.
