This year, Moldova is represented by Anna Odobescu. Anna was born on the 3rd of November in 1991, in Dubasari.
She studied pop and jazz vocal at the Transnistrian College Music and at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Arts in Chisinau. After her graduation, she became a vocal coach at the Chisinau school of arts. Except for her studies, she took part in many competitions, both nationals and internationals and won a couple of awards in them.
In 2017, she auditioned for the Russian version of The Voice. A year later she participated in Moldova’s national selection for the Eurovision. Her song “Agony”, came fifth and lost her chance of representing her country. This year, she came back and won the whole event with the song “Stay”. Her entry is composed by Georgios Kalpakidis, Thomas Reil, Jeppe Reil and Maria Broberg.
Anna is married to singer and composer Alexandru Vdovicenco.
Moldova performs 3rd in the second semifinal.
