A couple hours ago, the first 15 acts of the first semifinal rehearsed for the second time at the Expo Tel Aviv.
Note: For my first reaction check the previous editorials (Days 1-2).
Today rehearsals gave us a better view of what will see next week on lives. Many performers today gave me the impression that they have a little trouble with their vocals. Tamta was the surprise on this list because I heard many live performances and she was perfect. Maybe something went wrong today and hopefully is something that will not see on the semifinal. Bottom line, I find Cyprus’s performance good but not great.
Montenegro is one of the countries that I have the same opinion for them as their first. I like their voices, but I find awkward the communication between them.
Sebastian’s performance, today, was a little bit average. Their song is nice, although, if the final product is like this morning’s rehearsal, they can finish below the top-10.
Poland as steady to its first rehearsal, something that can be really good!
I am going to say something, that could be really crazy, but in my opinion will be much more good, if the camera is standing still in the entire song. Their whole staging is simple, they wear white and they fly on the sky. Why not the direction of the stage be the same simple?
Czech Republic 🇨🇿
My concerns about the vocals are still here for the Czech Republic. Is the only thing I have to say about Lake Malawi.
The Hungarian song was not my favourite until I watched the first rehearsal. Since then I’m falling for it more and more! Joci’s performance was really good and you can feel what he feels!
The Belarusian entry grew inside my the last days. Is not in my top-10, but the vibes I get from the song are nice!
What an appearance? Nevena ruled and with Australia maybe were the best rehearsals of the day. Everything is perfect… her voice, her song, her graphics, her staging! Bravo!
Belgium’s rehearsal today was better than its first. The staging makes my OCDs – yeah… plural – feel strange but it’s better.
Georgia may be on the last three countries on the odds, but I think can be the surprise of the first semifinal.
No shock here… Australia is now the third favourite in first semifinal’s odds! I believed in Kate Miller-Heidke and her song for the first day and it’s nice to see it “rock” on stage.
The BDSM group gave a… well BDSM appearance! Can hate really prevail?
Another entry that was stable in its second performance. Is this good enough?
As I wrote for Estonia, Portugal was stable too.
That was my opinion about the second 15 rehearsals of the first semifinal. Tomorrow, the rest of the first semifinal’s countries and the first nine entries of the second semifinal – Greece, San Marino, Armenia, Ireland, Moldova, Switzerland, Latvia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden and Austria – will perform their songs for the second time on the Eurovision stage. On the same day, the Big-5 and the host nation – Israel, France, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom and Germany – will have their first rehearsal.
