Editorial: Second Rehearsals – Day 7

Photo by: Thomas Hanses / EBU

A couple of hours ago, the second rehearsals of the last 9 acts of the second semifinal took place on Expo Tel Aviv.

Note: For my first reaction check the previous editorials (Day 4).

Croatia 🇭🇷

I’m staying with my first opinion, I’m not a big fan. I just don’t like it. I think Roko overreacts when he sings and I don’t get why! He can sing perfectly without much effort!

Malta 🇲🇹

Such a dance song, with a nice tempo. The whole millennial vibe suits to Michela! It’s a sure qualifier for me.

Lithuania 🇱🇹

I like the Lithuanian song but I don’t like the staging. The song isn’t an instant hit, so the staging could have helped it, but there is none.

Russia 🇷🇺

Fokas Evagelinos knows how to stage a Eurovision act. He had done a beautiful job for the Russian and Spanish songs this year. Sergey’s singing skills are known and it doesn’t come as a surprise that I like what I hear.

Albania 🇦🇱

I liked Jonida’s hairstyle and outfit better today, than the one at her first rehearsal.

Norway 🇳🇴

Norway still disappoints me. Is a good song, loved by the guns, but the staging is not perfect! Please do something!

The Netherlands 🇳🇱

Simplicity is the one word I can describe the Dutch performance.

North Macedonia 🇲🇰

The mirror effect is really good and suits to the appearance, but I still need an outfit change!

Azerbaijan 🇦🇿

The Azeri staging good easily be a part of BBC’s series “Doctor Who”! Once again Azerbaijan is aiming to the top!

That was my opinion about the second rehearsals of the last acts of the second semifinal. Tomorrow, the Big-5 and Israel – Israel, France, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom and Germany – will perform their songs for the second time on the Eurovision stage. Later, on the same day, the opening ceremony will take place in Tel Aviv.
