We are almost 3 months after Eurovision’s Grand Final. In this series of posts, we are going to travel through time and remind you some of this year’s best moments. All the events of Eurovision since the first artist announcement in late November until the Netherlands win in May.
Our eighth and final trip will be on the Thursday when San Marino released its song. San Marino used internal selection to select both artist and song. Serhat was announced as the selected artist before the song release.
His song “Say Na Na Na” was composed by Serhat himself along with Mary Susan Applegate. The song was released on 7th of March.
Now in the aftermath of the contest, we know that San Marino finished 19th in the final with a total of 77 points. His finished 10th in the televote but that wasn’t enough to give the first top-10 placing to the micronation. Nevertheless, San Matino got its best-ever result in the contest.
