
We continue the National Final Reminder with something from 2015. Today, we will travel to Cyprus.
Cyprus back in 2015 decided its representative through a national final, named Eurovision Song Project. That year 55 songs submitted to the show.
The song “Stone in a River” was one of those fifty-five songs. The song managed to finish 4th with a difference of 4 points from the first placer “One Thing I Should Have Done”. The song was composed by Argiro Christodoulidou.
Hovig
Hovig was born on 3rd January 1989, in Nicosia, Cyprus. His full name is Hovig Demirjian and is from Armenian descent. He participated in the second season of the Greek version of the X-Factor, in 2009 and finished seventh. He participated in the Cypriot national final in 2015. Two years later, he represented his country to Kyiv with the song “Gravity”. He finished 21st in the final. The more recent years, he works as a radio producer at NRJ Radio Cyprus. He also released a single in 2018 with the title “Words Are Never Easy”.
