Friday’s Xmas Quote – Greece 1992

Our quote today is from the Greek entry of 1992. The selected entry was “Olou Tou Kosmou I Elpida” by Cleopatra.

Cleopatra was born in 1963, in Athens, Greece. Her full name is Cleopatra Pantazi. Her most notable work is her participation to the contest. In 2003, she was planning to release a new album, but her husband Ηristos Lagos died in a car accident and she canceled her album.

Her song was “Olou Tou Kosmou I Elpida” and it is translate to “The Whole World’s Hope”. Ιt was composed by Hristos Lagos. The conductor of the live performance was Haris Andreadis. Cleopatra finished 5th in the final with 94 points, making the best entry of the country at the time.

The quote is in Greek as it is the rest of the song. The quote means “To this journey let it be my compass, my song’s melody. I found the answer in love, and the whole light of the spring, and the whole word’s hope “.
