Ireland 2020: Lesley Roy With Story of My Life For 2020!

The Irish broadcaster, RTÉ, announced the artist that will represent the country in 2020’s contest.

It was announced that Lesley Roy will represent the country to the upcoming Eurovision event!

Lesley Roy is a singer and songwriter from Ireland. She has write songs for singers like Adam Lambert and Miss Montreal. Initially she pursued a singer’s career, but in 2010 she focused on songwriting. Her album Unbeautiful was released in 2008 and reached the number 8 on the Us Heatseekers charts.

Her song “Story of My Life” was composed Lesley Roy, Robert Marvin, Catt Gravitt and Tom Shapiro.

Last year, the country was represented by Sarah McTernan. Both the artist and the song were selected through an internal selection. Her song “22” placed the 18th (Last) in the semifinal with 16 points. Therefore she didn’t qualify to the final.
