National Final Reminder: Albert Černý – Lucy!

We continue the National Final Reminder of 2020 with something from Poland.

Poland selected its representative through Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja 2020!

The song “Lucy” was Albert Černý’s entry to the music festival. Albert placed 2nd in the final of the show. Albert entered solo the event, but in case of a victory, he was going to be accompanied by the rest of Lake Malawi’s members. The song was composed by Alasdair Bouch, Albert Černý, Cesár Sampson, Joakim With Steen and Lasse Piirainen.

Albert Černý

Albert Černý was born on 17 February 1989, in Třinec, Czech Republic. He is the guitarist and lead singer of the band Lake Malawi. The band was formed in 2013. In the band, there are two more members, Jeroným Šubrt who plays the bass and the keys and Antonín Hrabal who plays the drums. The name of the band was inspired by a Bon Iver song. The three artists are better known for representing the Czech Republic in Eurovision last year with the song “Friend Of A Friend”. They placed on 11th place with 157 points in the final.
