Artist Profile: United Kingdom 2020 – James Newman!

The United Kingdom this year chose James Newman as its 2020 representative. James was born on 19 October 1985, in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. His full name is James Richard Newman.

In 2013, he wrote the “Waiting All Night” for the band Rudimental which wan a Brit award. Along with his brother John, they have many composed songs including “Blame”, on which they collaborated with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. All this years he had composed songs for established artists such as Kesha, Guy Sebastian, Zyan and Little Mix. James was internally selected this year as the next representative of the UK in the contest.

His entry “My Last Breath” was composed by James Newman, Ed Drewett, Adam Argyle and Iain James.

The UK was going to compete directly in the final, while the British would also be able to vote in the second semifinal.
