We continue the National Final Reminder with something from 2005. Today, we will travel to Sweden.

Sweden back in 2005 decided its representative through Melodifestivalen, as usual. Ten songs participated in the live final selection.

The song “Att Älska Dig”, which means “To Love You” was one of those 10 songs. The song placed fourth and was composed by Robert Olausson, Sonja Aldén, Bobby Ljunggren and Henrik Wikström.

Shirley Clamp

Shirley Clamp was born on 17 February 1973, in Borås, Sweden. She started her career by doing backing vocals. Is noteworthy that she was one of the backing singers of Antiques during their Eurovision performance (Greece 2001). In 2003 she pursued a solo career and participated in Melodifestivalen, placing 6th in her semi. A year later, she competed again and advanced to the final through Second Chance round, placing 2nd. In 2005, her entry “Att Älskar Dig” placed 4th in the final. In total, she has competed six times in the Swedish national final as a singer and one as a composer. Her most recent participation was in 2014 with the song Burning Alive. Throughout the years she has released six solo albums.
