EBU announced the complete list of this year’s junior Eurovision’s participants.
A total of 13 countries will take part in the upcoming event. Seven countries will not return to the contest from 2019 due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. That makes it the smallest number of contestants since 2013!
The participating countries are:
- Belarus 🇧🇾
- France 🇫🇷
- Georgia 🇬🇪
- Germany 🇩🇪
- Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
- Malta 🇲🇹
- Poland 🇵🇱
- Russia 🇷🇺
- Serbia 🇷🇸
- Spain 🇪🇸
- The Netherlands 🇳🇱
- Ukraine 🇺🇦
EBU announced that the list is not yet final and that more countries can join the contest.
Is noteworthy that the artists will not travel to Warsaw in order to compete. In order to deal with the pandemic EBU stated that each artist will sing form a studio in its own country.
*Update 05-11-20: Armenia eventually withdrew from the contest (more here), thus the contest will only have 12 participating nations making it one with the smallest number of participants – like 2012 and 2013!
