Friday’s Quote – Croatia 2005!

Our quote today is from the Croatian entry of 2005. The selected entry was “Vukovi Umiru Sami” by Boris Novković feat. Lado members.

Boris Novković was born on 25 December 1967 in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. He is an active singer and songwriter since the ’80s, releasing his first album in 1986. He is an established artist in his country. In 1990 he tried to represent Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest but placed second in the national final. In 2005 he won the national selection and represent Croatia in Kyiv. In 2006 he was the composer of the Croatian entry. All these years he has released a total of 17 albums.

His song was “Vukovi Umiru Sami” and it was composed by Franjo Valentić. The lyrics were written by Boris Novković. He placed 11th with 115 points.

The quote is in Croatian as it is the rest of the song and it means “And once again boats sail down the Danube, don’t you worry about me anymore, I’m like leaves, the wind blows me away, wolves die alone”
