Friday’s Quote – Spain 1966!

Our quote today is from the Spanish entry of 1966. The selected entry was “Yo Soy Aquél” by Raphael.

Raphael was born in 1943. His full name is Miguel Rafael Martos Sánchez and he is a spanish singer. His debut album was released in 1965. In 1966 and 1967 he represented Spain in Eurovision placing 7th and 6th respectively.

His song was “Yo Soy Aquél” and it was composed by Manuel Alejandro. The conductor of the live performance was Rafael de Ibarbia Serra. He placed 7th with 9 points.

The quote is in Spanish as it is the rest of the song and it means “And I’m here, here, to love you, I’m here, here, to adore you, I’m here, here to tell you, that nobody loved you like I did”.
