SVT, the Swedish public broadcaster, announce the dates about the 2021 edition of Melodifestivalen – the Swedish national final.

Host Cities

The 61st edition of Melodifestivalen will start on the 6th of February and will conclude on the 13th of March.

• 1st Semifinal – 6th of February
• 2nd Semifinal – 13th of February
• 3rd Semifinal – 20th of February
• 4th Semifinal – 27th of February
• Second Chance Round – 6th of March
• Final – 13th of March

Due to Covid-19 all the shows will be held in Stockholm. Also, this edition will mark the 20th anniversary of the newer version of Melodifestivalen. Prior to this, the national selection was just one show and not six!
