Shiri Maimon was born on 17 May 1981, in Israel. She started her career after placing second i the Israeli version of Idol. In 2005, competed in the Israeli national final for Eurovision and won it. Except of a singer Shiri is also a TV host and actress, having appeared in a variety of musicals in Israel. She was also a judge for the first three seasons of the Israeli version of The X-Factor. Since 2018, she is a judge at the HaKokhav HaBa – the Rising Star of Israel – which also serves as the national final for the country.
Her song was “Hasheket Shenish’ar” meaning “The Silence that Remains” and it was composed by Pini Aharonbayev and Eyal Shahar. Τhe lyrics were written by Ben Green. She placed 4th with 154 points.
