We continue the National Final Reminder with something from 2014. Today, we will travel to Sweden.

Sweden back in 2014 decided its representative through Melodifestivalen. Ten songs participated in the final of the national selection.

The song “Blame It On The Disco” was one of those 10 songs performed by Alcazar. The song placed 3rd in the final.

Alcazar is a Swedish nu-disco group that was formed in 1998 and lastly disbanded in 2018. Since 2007, there are three members at the group, Andreas Lundstedt, Therese Merkel and Lina Hedlund. Alcazar had global success especially with their 2001 single “Crying At The Discoteque”, which was charted in many European countries, USA, Brazil, Australia and Japan. Their most recent single was in 2018 under the title “In the Name of Love”.
