In 2017, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. A total of 16 countries competed and the winner was Russia for the second time.

Russia in 2017, was represented by Polina Bogusevich and the song “Wings”. The entry received 188 points, with a margin of just 3 point from the second placer Georgia.
