And The Winner Is… France!

After an amazing evening and a spectacular show from all the 12 competing nations, we have our 2020 winner. France won the Junior Eurovision with a total of 200 points.

France debuted at the contest in 2004, at the second event with Thomas Pontier and the song “Si on voulait bien”. The entry finished 6th with 78 points. After that single participation, the country withdrew from the contest and didn’t return until 2018. In 2018, Angelina placed second with 203 points. Last year, the country was represented by Carla and placed 5th. Carla was also one of this year’s commentators for France. Valentina became the first winner for the country.

This year, France was represented by Valentina. The young artist sang the song “J’imagine”, a song composed Igit and Barbara Pravi who also composed the 2019 entry for the country.

Best – Worst Results

Germany at its debut placed last with just 66 points. Kazakhstan placed second and Spain third for the second consecutive year. France’s victory its the country’s first in any Eurovision event since 1989 (Eurovision Young Dancers).
