Withdrawn Songs: Serbia & Montenegro – 2006!

There are a number of songs that was selected to represent some countries in the contest, but for a variety of reasons the songs never made it to the Eurovision stage. In this series of posts we are going to remind you some of these songs.

Serbia & Montenegro 2006

Serbia & Montenegro in 2006 original selected No Name and their song “Moja Ljubavi”. The song was selected through a national selection. At the voting, the juries voted on a specific pattern giving the victory to the 3rd placer of the televoting. As a result part of the audience left the show at the middle of the voting, whilst the remaining booed the band No Name. After this scandal, the two public broadcasters from Serbia and Montenegro try to find a solution but with no result. Therefore the country withdrew from the contest. Is noteworthy, that this participation would have been the last entry of the country. Serbia & Montenegro dissolved into two separate countries in the same year.
