EBU has announced that the American version of Europe’s favourite contest!

The American broadcaster NBC has secured the rights of the American version of the contest. The production will be of Propagate and Universal Television Alternative Studio. Also, the executive producer of ‘The Voice’ will be in charge of the remake.

At the contest will take part 50 States, 5 American territories and the capital, Washington, D.C. The show will consist of a Qualifying Round, a Semifinals and a Grand Final.

It doesn’t come as a surprise the expansion of the contest to the States. However, is interesting that the American Song Contest gets a year of release, while the Asian version of the contest has been announced since 2016 but it has been enter the production.
