Friday’s Quote – Ireland 1996!

Our quote today is from the Irish entry of 1996. The selected entry was “The Voice” by Eimear Quinn.

Eimear Mary Rose Quinn was born on December 18, 1972, in Dublin, Ireland. In 1996, she took part in Eurovision representing Ireland. Her song “The Voice” won the contest and gave Ireland its 7th and most recent victory. In the past, she has released four studio albums, the most recent one in 2020. She has revealed that she will release a new album in 2022. Throughout the years, she has toured globally.

The quote is in English as the rest of the song. The entry was composed by Brendan Graham. Conductor of the live performance was Noel Kelehan. Ireland placed 1st in the final with 162 points.
