
We continue the National Final Reminder with something from Norway.
Norway held Melodi Grand Prix, as usual, in order to select its 2019 entry. Ten entries competed in the live final.
The song “En Livredd Mann” was one of the 10 entries of the national final by Mørland. At the end, the song didn’t enter the Gold Final round. The song is composed by Mørland himself.
Mørland
Kjetil Mørland or simply Mørland is a Norwegian singer and songwriter that was born on October 3, 1980, in Grimstad, Norway. From 2008 is the lead singer of the British pop rock band “Absent Elk”. in 2015, he entered the Norwegian national final along with Debrah Scarlett. Their song “A Monster Like Me” won MGP and therefore represented Norway in Eurovision. At the final of Eurovision Mørland and Scarlett placed 8th in the final. In 2018, he has the composer of “Who We Are”. The song placed 2nd in the MGP. In 2019, he returned in the national final as a singer and in 2020 he composed the winning entry “Attention”. This year, he composed the song “Eyes Wide Open”. The entry was a prequalified for the Norwegian national final.
