Melodifestivalen 2022: The Remaining 14 Artists Announced!

SVT announced the names of half the participants of Melodifestivalen 2022!

Here is the list:

  • Angelino – The End
  • Anna Bergendahl – Higher Power
  • Browsing Collection – Face In The Crowd
  • Lancelot – Lyckligt Slut
  • Lillasyster – Til Our Days Are Over
  • Lisa Miskovsky – Best to come
  • Malin Christin – Synd On Dig
  • Malou Pritz – Bananas
  • MEDINA – In I Dimman
  • Robin Bengtsson – Inocent Love
  • Shirley Clamp – Let There Be Angels
  • Tenori – La Stella
  • Tone Sekelius – My Way

Note: The names in bold are returning to the contest.


As usual, a couple of artists return to the contest. Alvaro Estrella will sing for the third consecutive year. He made his debut in Melodifestivalen in 2014 and he also sang in the 2020 and 2021 version. Malou Pritz will also comeback for the third time. Her debut was in 2019 and she also sang in the 2020 edition of Mello.

Lillasyster returns for the second year in a row. They made their debut last year with the song “Pretender”, which was eliminated in the second chance round. Lisa Miskovsky will also participate for the second time, after placing 9th in 2012.

Three Melfest veterans will also return. Shirley Clamp is retiring for the fifth time on the contest (2003, 2004, 2005, 2014). Anna Bergendahl, who won the national final in 2010, will return for the fourth time (2010, 2019, 2020). Robin Bengtsson, another former Mello winner, will sing also for the fourth time (2016, 2017, 2020).

Melodifestivalen 2022

Melodifestivalen 2022 will be the 62nd edition of the Swedish national final. Oscar Zia will host the six nights show. The first semifinal will kick off on February 5, 2022! For the first time in years, we will see a major chance in the contest. The second chance round will now be another semifinal, from which four artists will advance to the final.
