Ukraine 2022: Vidbir – LAUD Disqualified!

The finalists fo the Ukrainian national final were announced yesterday! Now, it was announced that LAUD was disqualified.

Ukraine will hold a national final in order to select its next Eurovision artist. Its national final Vidbir will return for the 6th time this year. The winner will be a combination of jury voting and televoting.

LAUD was going to perform in the first half of the final, but it was discovered that his song has been released earlier in 2018. That’s against Eurovision rules. Only songs that have been published since September 1st are allowed to compete. Instead of LAUD, Barleben will sing the song “Hear My Words”. Below follows a list with the 8 finalists along with the half that will compete in:

First Half

  • Cloudless – “All be alright”
  • Laud – “Head Under Water” Barleben – “Hear My Words”
  • Michael Soul – “Demons”
  • Our Atlantic – “Moya lyubov”

Second Half

  • Alina Pash – “Tini zabutykh predkiv”
  • Kalush Orchestra – “Stefania”
  • Roxolana – “GIRLZZZZ”
  • Wellboy – “Nozzy Bossy”
