
The next Moldovan representatives were selected!
Moldava was going to select its next entry for Eurovision through a national final. However, due to the current situation with the pandemic in the country, it was decided that a jury will select the artist instead.
Zdob și Zdub and Frații Advahov won the ticket for Turin with their song “Trenulețul”. The song is composed by Andrei Cebotari, Victor Dandeș, Mihai Gîncu, Roman Iagupov, Valeriu Mazîlu, Sveatoslav Staruș, Vasile Advahov and Vitalie Advahov.

Zdob și Zdub are not new to Eurovision. The band that dates back in 1994, has represented Moldova twice in the past. In 2005, their song “Boonika Bate Toba” placed 6th in the final with 148 points. In 2012, the band sang again for Moldova with their song “So Lucky”. At the end of the night ZSZ – as their ofter called by their fans – placed 12th with 97 points.

Last year, Moldova was represented by Natalia Gordienko and her song “Sugar”. Natalia managed to place 13th with 115 points.
