

Benidorm Fest 2022, the new Spanish national final, will continue tonight. In the following post we are going to present you a short guide for the final.
This year, Spain will decide its Eurovision representative through a national final. Benidorm Fest, as it is called, will consist of two semifinals and a final. A total of 13 – originally 14, but Luna Ki withdrew (more here) – entries will try to win the ticket for Turin.
1. Rayden – “Calle de la llorería”
David Martínez Álvarez, a.k.a. Rayden, is a Spanish rapper that was born on July 30, 1985, in Spain. Since 2010, he has released six studio albums, with one of them topping the Spanish charts.
2. Tanxugueiras – “Terra”
Tanxugueiras is a trio that was formed in 2016. The trio consists Aida Tarrío and twin sisters Olaia and Sabela Maneiro. All the artists are of Galician descent.
3. Varry Brava – “Raffaella”
Varry Brava is an pop group created in Alicane in 2009. The groups consists of 3 members: Oscar Ferrer (vocal), Aarön Saez (keyboards) and Vicente Illescas (guitar). Their first album was released in 2012, whilst their fifth came out in 2020.

5. Rigoberta Bandini – “Ay mamá”
Rigoberta Bandini is the stage name of Paula Ribó González. She was born on April 30, 1990, in Catalonia, Spain. She is a singer, songwriter and actress. She has a number of singles in her discography, but her Benidorm Fest is the first that entered the Spanish Spotify charts. Her voice acting filmography is very rich and dates back to 1997.
6. Xeinn – “Eco”
Xeinn is Spanish singer from Madrid. Despite he is a graduate in political science he has a passion for singing. He gained fame by uploading covers to his YouTube channel. In 2021, he released his debut studio album.
7. Gonzalo Hermida – “Quién lo diría”
Gonzalo Hermida is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He was born on June 26, 1995, in Spain. He has released two studio albums, the mosts recent one in 2021. Sadly, he was tested positive in COVID-19 and therefore he was not perform live his entry at the semifinal, instead, his music video of his entry was broadcasted.
8. Blanca Paloma – “Secreto de agua”
The second semifinal of Benidorm Fest 2022 will go live on February 27 at 22:40 CET on La1!
