Jeangu Macrooy Released New Single “Worship”!

Jeangu Macrooy released his new single “Worship”. The song is composed by J. A. U. Macrooy, J. J. Kolk.

Jeangu was born on November 6, 1993, in Paramaribo, Suriname.

He started playing the guitar at the age of 13. In 2011, he formed a band called Between Towers along with his twin brother Xillan. Their first album was released in 2013. A year later, he moved to the Netherlands, where his musical career was boosted. He has appeared on a TV show in the Netherlands and he has been nominated for an Edison Award – very prestigious Dutch music awards. Since then he has released two studio albums, one live album, one EP and a couple of singles.

In 2020, he was internally selected to represent the Netherlands at Eurovision with “Grow”. After the contest’s cancellation, the host country selected Jeangu for the 2021 edition of the contest.

His 2021 entry “Birth Of A New Age” is composed by Pieter Perquin and Jeangu Macrooy and reached the 37th place in the Dutch charts. At the final of the contest Jeangu placed 23rd.
