Jüri Pootsmann released his new single “Jäljed jätsid tuulde”, which means “Traces left in the wind”. The song is composed by Andreas Poom, Juho Suutarinen, Jüri Pootsmann, Lauri Räpp and Tomi Saario.
Jüri Pootsmann was born on July 1, 1994, in Raikküla, Estonia. He is well-known for competing and winning the sixth season of the Estonian version of Pop Idol. Jüri won the national selection Eesti Laul 2016 and therefore represented his country in Stockholm. His song “Play” got the worst result of the country until today, finishing last in his semi-final with 24 points. His first EP was released in 2015, whilst his debut album was released one year later. He is currently signed with Universal Music.
In 2020, was among the competing entries that were going to compete in the 2021 version of the national final. His song “Magnus Melanhoolia” managed to reach the Superfinal and place 3rd with 25% of the votes.
