Melodifestivalen 2022: Guide For Semifinal 3!

Sweden’s national selection method kicks-off this Saturday. The show will last 6 weeks – 5 Semifinals and a Final. At the four semi-finals, we will see 28 acts but only 12 will make it to the final.

Semi-Final 3

Seven acts will try to win one of the two tickets for the Final. Those who will place third and fourth they’ll have a second chance on March 5, at the 5th Semifinal.

1. Cazzi Opeia – I Can’t Get Enough

Moa Anna Maria Carlebecker, better known professionally as Cazzi Opeia, she was bon on November 10, 1988, in Sweden. She is a singer, songwriter and DJ. Her career dates back in 2009 having released a number of singles and write many songs for other artists.

2. Lancelot – Lyckligt slut

Lancelot was born in July 20, 2000, in Stockholm, Sweden. He is a singer, songwriter and DJ. This year will sing for the first time in the Swedish national selection.

3. Lisa Miskovsky – Best to Come

Lisa Miskovsky was born on March 9, 1975, in Holmsund, Sweden. Her mother is from Finland and her father from Czech Republic. She is a singer and songwriter with a career that dates back in 2001. Her debut at Melodifestivalen was in 2012, when she placed 9th in the final. In total she has released six studio albums and several singles.

4. Tribe Friday – Shut Me Up

Tribe Friday is a Swedish emo band. In the past they have released 3 EPs and a number of singles. This year is the first time they will participate in Mello.

5. Faith Kakembo – Freedom

Faith debuted in 2020 to the contest. She is mostly known from her participation to the radio competition P4 Nästa that year, where she finished third. Her song “Crying Rivers” placed 5th in her semi.

6. Linda Bengtzing – Fyrfaldigt hurra!

Linda became famous through her participation to the fourth season of the Swedish edition of Star Academy. This year will mark her eighth attempt to the national final, having tried again in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2020. Her best result is 5th in the final, in 2008.

7. Anders Bagge – Bigger Than the Universe

Anders Bagge was born on January 16, 1968, in Stockholm, Sweden. He is an established singer and songwriter. He has compose songs for international artists like Janet Jackson, Celine Dion and Madonna. In 2010, he produced the Azeri entry for Eurovision and in 2012 he co-compose the Azeri entry.
