
This year Ukraine selected Kalush Orchestra as its 2022 Eurovision artists. Kalush is a rap group that was formed in 2019 in Kalush, Ukraine.
The group consists Oleh Psiuk, Ihor Didenchuk (also part of the Go_A), and KilimMen (Vlad Kurochka). The group released its debut single in 2019. In 2021, the group initiated a new project entitled Kalush Orchestra. That band combines rap with traditional Ukrainian music. The new project has the addition of two members Tymofii Muzychuk and Vitalii Duzhyk. Kalush has released two studio albums.
Kalush Orchestra entered the Ukrainian national final earlier this year. Their song “Стефанiя” (Stefania) topped the televoting but placed 2nd due to the jury voting. After a series of events, the winner of the national final Alina Pash withdrew and Kalush took her place (You can read more here).
Their ESC entry is composed by Ivan Klymenko, Oleh Psiuk, Ihor Didenchuk, Tymofii Muzychuk and Vitalii Duzhyk.
Ukraine will perform 6th in the first semifinal.
