A couple of hours ago, the sixth day of rehearsals came to an end. The remaining countries of the first semifinal – Iceland, Norway and Armenia – presented their entries for the second time on stage. Moreover, the first countries in the second semifinal – Finland, Israel, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Malta and San Marino – also performed for the second time. The press had access to the rehearsals of those countries.
In addition, the Big-5 countries – the prequalified entries – took the stage for the 1st time. That means that TikTok videos returned and the press was not be able to watch them!
Iceland ๐ฎ๐ธ
Iceland’s Systur take the majority of the national final’s elements, elevating them. The gold colour of the staging is what we all can expect from a song entitled “With the rising sun”. Moreover, the small waterfalls look perfect for the story of the song. The vocals, of course, are really good.
Norway ๐ณ๐ด
Norway’s rehearsal shows a pure “alien” party. The song is a party anthem and all the performers are dancing for their life the whole time. It is funny that DJ Astronaut’s is standing in a spaceship during the performance.
Armenia ๐ฆ๐ฒ
Armenia’s performance has a lot of props on stage. I think that this song could also work with a smaller staging. Rosa’s vocals are excellent and her outfit really comes together with her “room”.
Finland ๐ซ๐ฎ
The video from Finland’s performance is not the best to select from today’s rehearsals. I find that The Rasmus feel a little awkward during this phase of the song. However, as the song continues they give a real show.
Israel ๐ฎ๐ฑ
Michael Ben David’s voice is amazing, something we already knew from his X-Factor appearance. The graphics on the floor accompany well the choreography. The only thing that doesn’t fit me well with the staging is the outfits.
Serbia ๐ท๐ธ
Once again, Serbia delivers an eye-catching show. There is a nice synchronised choreography and during her performance, we will get a few subtitles. That comes in order to help the audience understand the message of the song.
Azerbaijan ๐ฆ๐ฟ
Nadir’s voice is excellent and the camera angles seem to work. However, the staircase is not really my thing. I believe another staging will be more interesting and nice-looking.
Georgia ๐ฌ๐ช
Georgia’s staging is a feast of colours. The vocals are like the studio version. Obviously, the whole presentation will catch the average viewer on screen.
Malta ๐ฒ๐น
Malta’s staging is very shining and I have to admit that Emma looks stunning in her dress. The choreography is nice, but I don’t feel it flows during the performance.
San Manrino ๐ธ๐ฒ
That’s what I call a Eurovision show. A very powerful performance by Achille Lauro. It is an eye-catching staging with a lot of fires, smoke and props. I’m looking forward to watching the entry live at ESC.
France ๐ซ๐ท
Through the French snippets, we notice that the staging is the same as the national final; the props, the dancer, the outfit. The vocals also sound good.
Italy ๐ฎ๐น
We can comment many about Italy’s performance, not because of the quality of the snippet, but due to Blanco’s absence. Blanco gives a concert and is unable to take part in his first rehearsal. One thing we can notice, it’s Mahmood’s outfit – if it is his Eurovision one – it looks like from the Matrix.
United Kingdom ๐ฌ๐ง
Sam’s vocals are obviously excellent. On stage, there is a huge prop full of LEDs. Sam wears a black flying suit.
Spain ๐ช๐ธ
Channel’s staging seems to be like the one she presented in both the national final and the pre-parties. Her dancers wear black outfits, while her own may be black, but it is full of shining stones.
Germany ๐ฉ๐ช
Malik Harris’ staging looks like a musician’s studio. On the floor, there are some carpets and in the background a number of instruments (piano, guitar, drums).
That’s all about today’s rehearsals. Tomorrow, the rest of the 2nd semifinal’s entries will perform on the ESC stage.
