A couple of hours ago, the seventh day of rehearsals came to an end. The remaining countries of the second semifinal presented their entries for the second time on stage.
Australia’s entry is very emotional and Sheldon Riley’s voice can easily convey the message of the song. The staging is very theatrical, while his outfit is better in white than the black version, which he wore in the national final.
Cyprus’ prop is one of the biggest of this year. However, the background looks empty, when the camera shows a wider view of the stage. Andromache’s voice sounds like the studio version of the song. Nevertheless, the aesthetic of the performance is artistic and unique.
Brooke has the energy to take over the stage. During her performance, we see pyros, while the lights seem to synchronise perfectly with the tempo of the song. I have to admit that I like her sparkly microphone, even though it is not something innovative for the ESC stage.
North Macedonia 🇲🇰
Andrea’s vocals are very good, but I don’t know if it is enough for the Balkan nation to qualify for the final. The stage is very empty. I can understand that the budget may be tight, but they already brought two backing vocalists to Turin; why don’t they let them interact with Andrea on stage?
For his second rehearsal, Stefan changed his black outfit into a cream one. I think it is better due to the black “sun” in the background.
WRS dancing experience is evident. In the clip that was uploaded on YouTube, you can see the Romanian representative change his outfit on stage. Generally, it is a very uplifting performance.
Ochman’s vocals have never been in question. His voice can easily give you goosebumps. However, during his performance, he uses AR effects, something that I don’t find very suitable for the entry. The raindrop effect on the video below seems a little cheap, while the shakily effect is too much for a ballad like this.
Another artist with an amazing voice. Vladana doesn’t move around on the stage, but her eye-catching outfit doesn’t make you bored. During the performance at her back, she wears a gigantic circle with LEDs.
I really like Jérémie’s outfit, especially the silver jacket. He has some moves to show to the Eurovision audience and his voice is excellent.
Sweden had three runs during the second rehearsal. Her first two attempts had some technical issues, but her third was perfect. A very nice attempt by Cornelia. Despite the already breathtaking performance of the national final, Swedes managed to do a little more with the pyros on stage.
Czech Republic 🇨🇿
A very uplifting performance by the Czech Republic. Once again, the vocals are amazing and the lighting works perfectly for this entry.
That’s the end of today’s rehearsals. Tomorrow, the Big-5 countries will take the stage for the 2nd time and we finally are going to take a better look at their performance.
