Eric Saade wins Swedish “Let’s Dance”!

Last night, the final of the Swedish version of Strictly Come Dancing took place. Eric Saade, the Swedish Eurovision representative of 2011 and 4 times Melodifestivalen participant, along with professional dancer Katja Lujan Engelholm reached the first place of the show.

“Let’s Dance” is very popular in Sweden. This year was the 17th season of the show with Petra Mede (Eurovision presenter 2013, 2016) and David Lindgren (Melodifestivalen participant and presenter) hosting the show. Moreover, another former Mello participant Lisa Ajax took part at the talent show, placing 7th.

Eric Saade

Eric Saade was born on October 20, 1990 in Helsingborg, Sweden. He is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He started his career as a member of the boy band “What’s Up”. In 2010, he debuted in Melodifestivalen with the pop song “Manboy” placing 3rd in the final. The year after that, he competed again with “Popular” and won the whole national final. He represented Sweden and reached the 3rd place. In 2015, he competed in Mello with the song “Sting” placing fifth. In 2019, he was one of the hosts of the national final. in 2021, he returned to the contest with “Every Minute” and place 2nd. Eric Saade has released a total of 4 studio albums and 2 EPs.
