Sweden will compete in Eurovision 2023.

SVT, the Swedish public broadcaster, confirmed its intentions to participate in the upcoming Eurovision. Despite not clarifying the selection process that will use in 2023, it is expected that Melodifestivalen will return.

Melodifestivalen is the national selection that has been used since 1959 in order to select the Swedish entry.

Albania this year was represented by Cornelia Jacobs and her song “Hold Me Closer”. The entry manage to bring to the country the 4th place with 438 points – the best result of the country since 2015.
