Destiny among the judges of the Maltese version of The Voice Kids!
The Maltese version of The Voice Kids will debut this Fall. Three judges will be in the show Destiny, Gianluca Bezzina and Owen Leuellen. The two thirds of the judging panel are former contestants of Eurovision.
Gianluca competed in Eurovision back in 2013 with his song “Tomorrow”.
Owen Leuellen is a Maltese rapper and songwriter. He rose to fame in his country by competing in X-Factor Malta in 2018. At the show, he reached the final, where he placed 2nd, behind Michela Pace. In the past, he has collaborated with Eurovision star Ira Losco.
Destiny need no introduction. She competed in the junior edition of Eurovision in 2015, where she won the contest. In 2017, she competed in Britain’s Got Talent, reaching the semifinals. Two years later, she was the backing vocalist of the Maltese entry for Eurovision. Later the same year, she competed in The X-Factor of Malta and won the show, gaining the right to represent her country in Eurovision.
Sadly, the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the public broadcaster decided to sent her in 2021 instead. Her entry “Je Me Casse” reached the final, where it placed 7th with 255 points.
