Anna Sahlene
Anna Sahlene was born on May 11, 1976 in Söderhamn, Sweden. Her full name is Anna Cecilia Sahlin and she is a singer and songwriter.
Her career started at the age of nine, when she appeared in a Swedish film. Her musical career started when she became member of the Swedish band One Voice. The band was the backing vocalist of Sweden’s 1999 Eurovision, which won the contest. Her first solo single was released in 2000 and in 2002 she entered the Estonian national final for Eurovision. After her victory at the show, she represented the country in the contest where she placed 3rd with the song “Runaway”.
One year later, she entered the Swedish national final and released her debut album. In addition to her 2003 performance in Mello, she has competed two more times in 2006 and 2009. More recently she has been a backing vocalist of the 2016 Australian and the 2019 British entries.
Earlier this year, she competed in Eesti Laul – the Estonian national final for Eurovision. Her song “Champion” reached the 4th place at the final.
