
It’s official, the United Kingdom will return in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
It has been 17 years since the United Kingdom participated in the junior edition of Eurovision, the last time being 2005. The country has participated 3 times in the past. Its best result was the 2nd place in 2004.
The show will be broadcasted on CBBC and BBC one, making the first time that BBC will be responsible for the participation of the country at Junior Eurovision. In the past ITV was the British participating broadcaster for the show.
Sixteen more countries have express their intention to the upcoming contest: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Malta, North Macedonia, Ireland, Italy Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain and the Netherlands.
