Manizha and Markina released their new single “Ну Же, Боже”, which means “Come On, God”. The song is composed by Alina Markina.
Manizha
Manizha was born on July 8, 1991, in Dushanbe, USSR (today Tajikistan). Her full name is Manizha Dalerovna Sangin.
In 1994, she moved to Moscow with her family, where she took piano lessons. In 2003, she began her career as a child singer. After a short music break, she returned in 2016 with the release of some self-published singles. In 2017, she released her debut studio album, followed by a second one in 2018. In 2021, she competed in the Russian national final, where she won with the song “Russian Woman”.
Manizha has expressed her support to the LGBT community. She is also against the body-shaming “culture” that is promoted by media.
Except of being a singer, Manizha has also studied psychology at the Russian State University for the Humanities.
At Eurovision, Manizha sang the bilingual song “Russian Song” and placed 9th with 204 points. Moreover the song managed to entered the official charts of a number of countries.
