It’s official, Ireland will select its next Eurovision representative through a national final.
The Irish national broadcaster opened submissions for its national final. According to RTÉ, the national final will return in 2023 the same way as it did this year – a Late Late Show special. We remind you, that this year Ireland showed its first national final since 2015!
The submission window is now opened and any interested artist can apply until October 28. The majority of the rules for the applicants are those of EBU. A notable addition to them, is that the entry must not be submitted in any other national selection. It is noteworthy that the Greek broadcaster has also added the same rule this year.
Ireland in 2022
This year, Ireland was represented by talented Brook. Her entry “That’s Rich” didn’t manage to qualify for the final, placing 15th with 47 points.
