A new development about the Latvian national final!

Supernova will return this year. The show will consist of one semifinal and one final. After a jury evaluated the 121 songs that were submitted, 15 songs selected to participate in the semifinal. However, after a few days that the songs were released, Saule was disqualified. According to the announcement, his entry has been released on late December 2021. Both Eurovision and Supernova rules state that the participating entries must not be released prior to the September 1st of the previous year (for the 2023 edition, September 1, 2022). The semi is set to take place on February 4 and the final on February 11. From the semifinal 10 acts will proceed to the final, where they will try to take the gold.
