
Sweden’s national selection method continues this Saturday. The show will last 6 weeks – 4 Heats, one Semifinal (former Second Chance) and a Final. During the four Heats, we will see the 28 acts but only 12 will make it to the final.
Heat 2
Seven acts will try to win one of the two tickets for the Final. Those who will place third and fourth they’ll have a second chance on March 4, at the Semifinal.
1. Wiktoria – All My Life (Where Have You Been)
Wiktoria was born on November 8, 1996, in Brämhult, Sweden. Her full name is Wiktoria Johansson. She made her debut in the music scene in 2011 when she participated in the junior version of the Melodifestivalen – Lilla Melodifestivalen – and placed 4th. In 2016, she made her debut in Melodifestivalen with the entry “Save Me” placing 4th – 2nd in televoting. In 2017, she competed again with “As I Lay Me Down” placing 6th – 2nd in televoting. Her third attempt came in 2019 when she sang “Not With Me”, placing 6th – 8th in televoting. On all her three participations Wiktoria qualified directly to the final. She has also dubbed children’s movies in Swedish.
2. Eden – Comfortable
Eden Alm or simply Eden is a young Swedish singer and songwriter. Her career was boosted by TikTok, where she posts about her music. This will be her debut appearance in Melodifestivalen.
3. Uje Brandelius – Grytan
Uje Brandelius is a talented Swedish artist. He made his musical debut (as a singer and songwriter) in the 90’s, through the band Doktor Kosmos. His solo debut album was released in 2015. His Mello entry is composed solely by himself.
4. Panetoz – On My Way
Panetoz is a Swedish band that was formed in 2012. It currently consists of Pa Modou Badjie, Nebeyu Baheru, Johan Hirvi, Njol Ismail Badjie and Daniel Nzinga. The group debuted in 2014 in Mello and participated a second time in 2016. Both times they made it to the final.
5. Tennessee Tears – Now I Know
Tennessee Tears is a duo that consists of Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson. The duo has released multiple singles in the past. Their Melodifestivalen participation will be their first.
6. Maria Sur – Never Give Up
Maria was born and raised in Ukraine, before moving to Sweden with her mother last year, due to the war. In Sweden she managed to record her debut single, which was released in 2022.
7. Theoz – Mer av dig
Theoz debuted last year at Mello. He is a young Swedish singer, who was born in July 16, 2005, in Linköping, Sweden. Hie Melodifestivalen entry “Som Du Vill” reached the final, where it placed 7th. Now, he will try again.
