Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national final, is continues tonight!

Tonight, the biggest party of Sweden continues with 8 artists competing for the 4 tickets to the final! During the last month, the 4 heats of the show took place, with the winner of each show and the runner up advancing directly to the final, whilst the 3rd and 4th placers managed to get a second chance for this evening’s semi.

The rules are quite the same as the heats, but instead of 2 artists qualifying to the final, will now have 4!

1. Theoz – Mer av dig

Theoz debuted last year at Mello. He is a young Swedish singer, who was born in July 16, 2005, in Linköping, Sweden. Hie Melodifestivalen entry “Som Du Vill” reached the final, where it placed 7th. Now, he tries again.

2. Mariette – One Day

Mariette was born on January 23, 1983, in Harplinge, Sweden. Her full name is Mariette Petra Carola Hansson. She rose to fame after she competed in the 2009 edition of the Swedish Idol, where she placed 4th. She has participated four times in Melodifestivalen and on all occasions has qualified directly to the final. Her most recent attempt was in 2020 with the song “For You”. She has released one studio album, one EP and a number of singles.

3. Victor Crone – Diamonds

Victor Crone is from Sweden. He was born on 31st of January 1992 in Österåker. He is familiar both with Melodifestivalen and Eurovision. In 2015, he teamed up with Behrang Miri and competed to Melfest with the song “Det Rår Vi Inte För”. The song made it to the Second Chance but knocked out by Samir & Viktor. In 2019, he competed in Eesti Laul – the Estonian national final – with the song “Storm” and won it. Therefore, he represented the Baltic nation into the Eurovision. In Tel Aviv, he placed 20th in the final. On February 2020, he competed in the national selection, where he placed 9th in the final.

4. Tennessee Tears – Now I Know

Tennessee Tears is a duo that consists of Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson. The duo has released multiple singles in the past. Their Melodifestivalen participation is their first.

5. Elov & Beny – Raggen går

Elov & Benny is a musical duo that was formed in 2008 from Mattias Elovsson and Oscar Kilenius. They have released two albums and multiple singles. Now, they debut in Melodifestivalen.

6. Melanie Wehbe – For The Show

Melanie Wehbe is a Swedish singer and songwriter. In the past, she has composed many songs for both Swedish and international artists. In addition, a number of her compositions have been awarded. Melanie is also familiar with Eurovision: two of her entries has managed to win national finals (Denmark 2019, Sweden 2020). Her participation is her first in the show as a singer.

7. Nordman – Släpp alla sorger

Nordman is a Swedish duo that was formed in 1994. The duo consists of Håkan Hemlin and Mats Wester. In the past, they have competed in Mello in 2005 and 2008. They have a rich discography of 8 studio albums and many singles.

8. Kiana – Where Did You Go

Kiana Blanckert is a young Swedish artist. She gained fame in 2021, when she reached the 2nd place in the Swedish version of Got Talent. Her Mello entry is her first in the national final.
