
Söngvakeppnin’s 2023 winner has been selected!
Iceland selected its entry through a national final. The national final consisted of two semifinals and a final. During the semis the artists presented an Icelandic version of their song, whilst on the final, they had the chance to participate with any language they wanted. Each semifinal consisted of five acts, two of which advanced to the final. In addition, a wildcard entry was added to the final of the national selection.
Tonight, the final of the show took place. A total of five artists competed, four of which decided to perform in English, whilst Langi Seli & Skuggarnir kept their entry in Icelandic. Winner of the show was Diljá with her song “Power”.

Iceland in Eurovision 2022
In 2022, Iceland was represented by Systur at Eurovision. Their entry “Með hækkandi sól” managed to qualify to the final, where it placed 23rd with 20 points.
