Ireland this year chose Wild Youth as its 2023 representative. Wild Youth is a four-member indie-rock band, which was formed in 2016 in Dublin, Ireland.

The band consists of Conor O’Donohoe, Callum McAdam, Ed Porter and David Whelan. They made their debut by releasing their first single in 2017. Following the release of a number of singles, they released their debut EP in 2019. In 2021, it followed their second one.

Thanks to their success in their country, they appeared in shows of artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Westlife.

Earlier this year, the band entered the Irish national final with their song “We Are One”. The song managed to win the show with 34 out of the 36 maximum points available. Their entry is composed by Conor O’Donohoe, Ed Porter and Jörgen Elofsson.

Upon the song’s release, the single managed to enter the Irish charts.

Ireland will perform in the first half of the first semifinal.
