ESC 2023: Meet Andrew From Cyprus!

Cyprus selected Andrew Lambrou as its 2023 Eurovision representative. Andrew was born on May 25, 1998, in Sydney, Australia to Greek-Cypriot parents.

He first gained attention after uploading a cover of songs on his social media. A few years later, in 2015, he competed in the Australian version of The X-Factor, where he was eliminated before the lives.

In 2021, he released his debut single and soon followed two more. In 2022, he entered the Australian national final for Eurovision with the song “Electrify”. The song placed 7th in a field of 11.

His Eurovision dream will be fulfilled this year. Cyprus internally selected him for the contest. His song, “Break a Broken Heart”, was composed by Jimmy Jansson, Jimmy “Joker” Thornfeldt, Marcus Winther-John and Thomas Stengaard.

The song will perform 6th in the second semifinal!
